WORMIT — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
WORMIT ("the game", "we") is a real-time multiplayer browser game. This page explains what information is collected when you play.
What we collect
- Nickname: the display name you type before playing. This is shown to other players in-game and on the leaderboard. It is not linked to any personal identity, email, or account.
- Gameplay data: in-session actions (movement, score, skin choice) are processed in real time to run the game and are not permanently stored after your session ends.
- Standard technical data: our server, like any web server, automatically logs IP addresses and basic connection info for security and stability purposes (e.g. rate-limiting abusive connections). These logs are not used for tracking or advertising and are periodically cleared.
What we do NOT collect
- No accounts, sign-up, email, or phone number required
- No location tracking
- No advertising or third-party trackers
- No sale or sharing of data with third parties
- No payment or financial information
Cookies / local storage
The game may use your browser's local storage to remember your last-used nickname and skin choice for convenience. This stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
Children's privacy
WORMIT does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The nickname field should not contain real names or personal details.
